Privacy Policy
What information practices does this privacy policy cover?
This policy applies to all information collected by or through the Web site and services located at ballotboxonline.com, or in connection with the BallotBox online voting service (the “Service”).
What information is collected?
BallotBoxOnline.com may allow visitors to request more information about the company or its products and services by providing personally identifiable information (“PII”) about such visitors (such as your name, address, or email address), or to submit personal information to apply for employment with the company (such as your resume). In addition, certain non-personally identifiable information may be logged to help BallotBoxOnline improve the performance or usability of the site (such as the last site you visited, the pages you view while you visit the site, your browser type, or the type of computer you use).
The Service explicitly collects information from its customers to enable the Service to work. This information includes PII about that customer’s voters, including such information as names and email addresses. When customers deploy an online election or poll, their voters are explicitly asked to provide information, and each voter has a explicit choice as to what information he or she chooses to provide (if any).
How is this information used?
BallotBoxOnline uses information collected about visitors to this site to respond to their specific inquiries, to learn more about the types of individuals and businesses who are interested in our company, and to provide more helpful information about BallotBoxOnline LLC and its products and services in the future. BallotBoxOnline uses personal information submitted by visitors who apply for employment for internal evaluation of their applications. BallotBoxOnline uses non-PII related to your use of the site to improve its performance and to make it more helpful to you in the future.
Each BallotBoxOnline Customer determines how the information collected by the Service from that Customer’s voters is used. BallotBoxOnline accesses and uses that information only at the direction of that Customer, subject to a few narrow exceptions: BallotBoxOnline may access, use, and disclose that information if necessary to respond to legal process, as required by law, if relevant to the assertion or defense of a legal claim, or if believed to be appropriate to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of BallotBoxOnline or any other person.
Who shares this information?
Information provided by visitors who are interested in the company or its products and services is shared internally, and may be shared with trusted business partners, agents, or consultants of BallotBoxOnline who have committed to respecting privacy. PII submitted to apply for employment is shared with the particular managers and employees who are involved in the hiring decision. Non-PII may also be shared with trusted business partners, agents, or consultants of BallotBoxOnline who have committed to respecting privacy. Otherwise, information collected by this site is not shared with third parties unless the person supplying the information explicitly consents, or the disclosure is in response to legal process, required by law, or relevant to the assertion or defense of a legal claim, or if BallotBoxOnline believes it is appropriate to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of BallotBoxOnline or any other person.
Information collected from Customers in connection with the Service, or from voters through the Service, is shared by BallotBoxOnline with that Customer and the individuals designated by that Customer. Each Customer, and not BallotBoxOnline, determines which individuals or third parties have access to that information. BallotBoxOnline does not share that information with anyone else unless the person supplying the information explicitly consents, its Customer explicitly requests it, or the disclosure is in response to legal process, required by law, or relevant to the assertion or defense of a legal claim, or if BallotBoxOnline believes it is appropriate to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of BallotBoxOnline or any other person.
How long is information collected by this online application stored?
Information may be retained by BallotBoxOnline LLC indefinitely.
What control do you have over how information is used?

A visitor to this site can also instruct us not to share his personal information with any third parties. You can exercise either of these options by sending a letter to Privacy Officer, BallotBoxOnline LLC, 3400 Enfield Road, Austin, Texas 78703.
BallotBoxOnline’s Customer determines what control you have over how information provided by that Customer, or by its voters in an online election or poll, will be used. Voters should contact the corresponding Customer organization directly with any questions or concerns about how information provided by the voter will be used or disclosed by the Customer.
Will this information be used to send unsolicited email messages or direct mail?

- communications sent to voters when and as directed by our Customer

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, BallotBoxOnline has put in place physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information collected by this site that BallotBox believes to be appropriate under the circumstances. No computer system can be made completely secure, especially if it connected to the Internet, but security and privacy are priorities for BallotBoxOnline.
How does BallotBoxOnline protect the privacy of children?
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, BallotBoxOnline does not collect or maintain information within this application from individuals we actually know are under 13 years old, and no part of this Web site or voting Service is marketed or targeted to anyone under 13. BallotBoxOnline Customers agree to honor this commitment, and not to knowingly accept information from, or to target the use of the voting Service to, anyone under 13.
What happens when there are changes in this policy?
Subject to any conflicting contractual commitment to a Customer, BallotBoxOnline may change or alter this Privacy Policy at any time. If a change is made, BallotBoxOnline will publish the revised version of the policy at this Web address at least 30 days before the change becomes effective. We will continue to use PII collected through this Web site or the voting Service in accordance with the policy that was in effect when the information was collected, except to the extent we notify the person who provided the information of the change by letter or email message and provide an opportunity to opt out of the change.
